The Boss
After completing treatment for breast cancer a few years ago and taking a career break to support family members, I spent some time thinking about what I wanted my next chapter to look like.
Gardening has always been a real comfort and a constant for me—especially garden design.
Having lived in four new-build homes, I’ve created a garden from scratch each time, and during my treatment my garden helped me through some very difficult days.
That experience encouraged me to build on what I already loved, so I chose to formalise my horticultural knowledge through courses with the RHS, the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, and the Norfolk School of Gardening.
As I studied, my enthusiasm for plants, gardens, and design only grew, and I realised the time was right to turn that passion into a career.
I’m excited by the opportunity to work in horticulture where I can support others with thoughtful planting, seasonal care, and practical design choices and to help others create and care for gardens that feel welcoming, beautiful, and full of life.
My approach is grounded in soil health and biodiversity, with an emphasis on working in ways that benefit the wider environment as well as the garden itself.
